Like many people, I first discovered the Magic Air Broom through one of those “As Seen on TV” moments—except my introduction was on YouTube. I was watching a product test video from John Malecki, who demonstrated the broom in his workshop. His test impressed me enough to try it for myself, but I had a very specific problem in mind: rabbit hair.
I live with two large indoor bunnies, and anyone with rabbits knows how much fur they shed (especially during molting season). My vacuum works well, but it’s not always convenient to pull it out for quick cleanups. That’s where I hoped the Magic Air Broom could shine. I ended up purchasing the Silicone "Breezy Broom" from the local Menard's for $7.99 (pictured below).

The broom comes disassembled. The handle sections and broom head screw together. It was simple to assemble, and I liked the added feature that it could be made smaller/shorter for storage.
First Impressions
The Breezy Broom is lightweight, with a unique design that’s different from a traditional broom. Instead of stiff bristles, it has a smooth, flexible sweeping edge that uses static and airflow to gather dust, dirt, and hair. Right away, it felt less like a broom and more like a hybrid between a squeegee and a sweeper—built for efficiency.
Performance with Pet Hair
This is where the Breezy Broom really stood out for me. It sweeps up bunny fur quickly and effectively, and in some cases, it almost outperforms my vacuum. On rugs especially, it seems to pull up the hair that would otherwise get stuck in the fibers.
For me, it’s become the perfect tool for “in-between vacuuming”—those times when you just want to tidy up without doing a full clean. I can grab the broom, make a few quick passes over the floor or rug, and the fur is gone. It saves me time and helps keep the house looking fresh without always relying on my vacuum.
Ease of Cleaning
One of the best parts about the Breezy Broom is that it’s incredibly easy to clean. Since it doesn’t have traditional bristles, hair and debris don’t get tangled or trapped. A quick rinse or wipe-down is all it takes to get it looking brand new again, which makes it more hygienic and lower maintenance than a standard broom.
Pros

Excellent for pet hair: Works on both hard floors and rugs.
Easy to clean: No bristles to trap hair—just rinse or wipe.
Convenient: Quick cleanups without dragging out the vacuum.
Lightweight and easy to use: No setup required.
Affordable: Much cheaper than a second vacuum or specialty pet-hair tool.
Cons
Not a vacuum replacement: You’ll still need to vacuum for deep cleaning.
Limited reach: Works best on floors and rugs—less effective on furniture or tight corners.
Final Verdict
The Breezy Broom turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. It’s not going to replace your vacuum, but it doesn’t need to. Instead, it fills a gap by making quick cleanups faster and easier—especially for pet owners like me.
If you have rabbits, cats, or dogs that shed, the Breezy Broom is a surprisingly effective and affordable tool to add to your cleaning routine. For me and my two bunnies, it’s been a great investment.
Additional Insights on Pet Hair Management
Managing pet hair can be a challenge. With the right tools, however, it becomes much easier. The Breezy Broom is just one of many options available.
Understanding Pet Shedding
Pets shed for various reasons. Seasonal changes, health, and diet can all influence how much fur they lose. Understanding these factors can help you manage shedding more effectively.
Regular Grooming
Regular grooming is essential. Brushing your pets can significantly reduce the amount of hair that ends up on your floors. It’s a simple way to keep your home cleaner.
The Importance of a Cleaning Routine
Establishing a cleaning routine can make a huge difference. Designate specific days for vacuuming and quick cleanups. This will help you stay on top of pet hair and maintain a tidy home.
Other Useful Tools
While the Breezy Broom is effective, consider other tools as well. Lint rollers, pet hair vacuums, and even rubber gloves can help in the battle against pet hair.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the Magic Air Broom is a valuable addition to any pet owner's cleaning arsenal. Its unique design and effectiveness make it a must-try for anyone dealing with pet hair. Whether you have rabbits, cats, or dogs, this broom can help you maintain a cleaner home with less effort.
